Historically Speaking Jerkyhut east was the first Jerkyhut established on the East Coast. It all started in 1986. We started earlier on the west coast at events like Easy Riders Rodeo in Lancaster and next Bremerton Washington. We also did abate runs the Russ Brown Burger feed at Big Bear Lake, The All Harley Drags in Palmdale, The La Merada Swap and of coarse The Orange county swap And Laughlin River Run. Then in 1988 we Opened during Bike Week at the Last Resort Bar. Home of Killer Woman and Ice cold beer. We set up there with friends we had mad during the 1st 2 years in operation. After Daytona we went to Middlettown NY for the Easyriders Bike and Tattoo Show. After this we went back to Oceanside California. We spent the next 3 months preparing for our 2nd east coast on slaught.
Trip #2 We came east for summer excursion. 1st stop Easyriders Riders Cassa Grandee AZ, Wacko Texas, Fayettvile NC, Middletown NY. Then off Wetzel MC Brain Fry. From there we went to Sturgis, Four Corners Run in Ignacio Colorado, Then home to California.
Something needed to change. We decided that this back and forth was too much so our plan was that if we didn't sell to house in Oceanside by the time to leave for Bike-week we would go anyway. With all of our stuff. It was late Feb and we hadn't sold the house. We rented a Ryder truck loaded it with all our stuff. and as we were loading someone stoped by and was interested in the house and I called the Real estate person and as we packed they sealed the deal. Mara and Ryan drove the truck with a car dolly and we drove the motor home towing the van. We landed in Front Royal Va. We parked the motor Home. Found a house in Winchester that wasn't available for 2 weeks. Shari and I left for The Last resort and the kids stayed in Front Royal and the got snowed in with one of the deepest snowfalls in 15 years.
